And where did it get me? Right where I don't want to be; injured. Yes, I did what everyone nearly expected I would do, hurt myself through running. I suppose I should be glad that I suffered my setback before my Kaiser Half on Sunday and before the start of TnT season. Yet, I'm still feeling miserable and in pain and dismayed with the way my left knee could not even sustain what little body weight I have pounding against the pavement.
I am very disappointed. And I thought I was much stronger than this. Well, apparently, not. Age is catching up to me and I can already feel the onset of arthitis. Lucky me. I will have to change exercise tactics and bike and swim and convert to low impact exercises like yoga and pilates. But I blame yoga for putting me in my current predictament. It was the yoga moves I did in my yoga class last Wednesday that tightened my calves and put a strain in my upper back. It wasn't the running. I'm sure of it. No, I'm absolutely positive.
