Met JD (aka Jimmy) the other night and attended the concert with him. He loves rock music. I can tell you that much about him. We sat there in the nose bleed section on the far right of the stage and Jimmy couldn't stop talking about this band or that band or the concert he went to recently or lately or in the past. It was neverending, it seemed. I stopped acknowledging what he was saying so he wouldn't continue talking. But continue he did.
Thank goodness the music was loud enough that we couldn't have a conversation while the bands played. And Weezer were amazing. As usual, they outdid themselves and performed above and beyond. And having half a dozen male models march on stage and strip down to male thong bikinis while Weezer played was so classic! I've never seen so much "hot cock" at a concert. They were well worth the $40 I paid for the ticket. The Foo Fighters, although not a band I regularly listen to were decent also. David Grohl, the lead singer of Foo, screamed quite a bit throughout their set. It's times like that when I wished I didn't forget to bring my ear plugs.
While Jimmy rambled on about some band during the intermission, I started thinking about Chris and wondering...if we were still together, we would probably be at this very concert having a really great time. He's a Foo Fighters fan and I'm a Weezer fan and this was a double bill. It would have been the perfect date. And I couldn't help but look around with the false hope that I might spot him in the crowd. Oh, well. It's just a pathetic dream that's not going to happen. Back to reality and Jimmy's one man conversation.
