The joys of homeownership

I've made my decision to sell my home, which means that I have to buckle up and make the house look presentable and remotely sellable. One look at my home and the average person can see that it needs work. Mostly cosmetic work, but work nevertheless.

I started the process of ripping down the wallpaper in the bathroom. Wallpaper removing is a lot of work. Just tearing down the paper doesn't work. You have to remove the adhesive left on the wall which requires an enormous amount of scraping and sanding and cleaning. After three hours and a quarter of the wallpaper removed, I was noxious and was coughing and couldn't figure out why. So I ventured outside to my backyard to saw fence boards in half so I can fit it into my yard waste bin. Three boards and a half hour of manual sawing, my head cleared and I felt better. I re-entered my bathroom to continue the wallpaper removal work, and the adhesive fumes nearly knocked me out. Well, I found out the reason why I was sick to my stomach and coughing up a storm.

Oh, the joys of homeownership.
