Hit with the holiday blahs

Another Christmas come and gone and the same old family get-togethers had the look and feel of last year's Christmas family get-together as well as the year before that and the year before that one. They are all the same. The only difference; we look a year older, more jaded, exhausted, and bored.

Next time I should spend my holidays alone, watching rentals that I've been meaning to watch the past year but didn't have the opportunity to. I feel like Scrouge. This bah humbug mentality has arrived, later than usual but still here permeating my psyche and I'm wishing that the year will be over tomorrow, not four day from now. Someone needs to build a time machine so people like me can speed right through this season of false cheers and well wishes and stress-induced shopping malls and grouchy people who didn't get what they hoped for this christmas, but hey, there is always hope for next year. Yeah, sure. And Santa Claus exists.
