My house has been on the market for two weeks and still no bites. There's been some interest from people but nothing that resembles a bid any time in the near future. I shouldn't worry since the time will tell and the bids will start coming through.
In any case, the house is staged and as clean as I could make it. I'm rarely there now; living at my parents for the time being. Solan hates it but his votes are invalid.
After last weekend's fundraising event I co-hosted, (we earned several thousand in donations) I don't think I will ever "volunteer" to go up first on the auction block. I am thankful that my friend and her husband were my highest bidders as opposed to an overweight, beer guzzling, bald, has-been-40-something. Oh, the joy of being auctioned all in the name of a good cause.
Now that the event is over, what do I do while I wait around? I've made myself an available "running" freelancer of sorts. I joined a group down in the south bay to run with them as their Leg 3 runner for the Organs R Us 199 mile Calistoga to Santa Cruz relay. I have no idea who these people are but I'll meet them all tonight. This should be exciting. I might make a few friends out of this and possibly recruit one of the runners to substitute for my friend, who injured herself the other day while skiing, to run on my Big Sur relay team in three weeks.
Yes, my plate is nearly full. But NOT FULL ENOUGH! I want it overflowing. LOL
